Em seu quinto ano consecutivo, o Bloco da Jurema arrecada dois milhẽs cento e cinquenta mil lacres de latinhas para reverter em recursos para a compra de 23 cadeiras de rodas/higiênicas que serão doadas na terça feira de carnaval.
O Bloco nasceu a partir da ideia de Marcio Assis durante suas missões de Força de Paz ONU, em que participou como fuzileiro naval no Haiti em 2005.
“Cada missão que a gente tinha lá no Haiti, a gente botava um lacrezinho no cadarço da bota pra simbolizar uma missão. No decorrer dos oito meses, o cadarço da bota ficou pequeno, botamos numa corda, depois quando voltamos a corda ficou pequena, arrumamos uma corda maior, e hoje o Bloco sai com um cordão de 121 metros de lacres. Então esse cordão fica reservado pra todo ano a gente aumentar ele”, relata Marcio, que ganhou dois troféus do RankBrasil pelo maior cordão do Brasil.
O objetivo do cordão é ser uma referência do bloco para despertar a curiosidade e o interesse das pessoas, incentivando-as também a colaborarem. O Bloco tem postos de coletas que podem ser encontrados na página do facebook Bloco da Jurema, no álbum Amigos da Jurema (postos de coleta). O fundador do bloco também realiza as coletas em residências e estabelecimentos por mensagens no WhatsApp. A arrecadações são feitas durante o ano inteiro e os lacres armazenados em uma tulipa gigante até o final do ano.
“Então eu trouxe os lacres de lá e aqui a gente viu a carência que tinha as pessoas que necessitam de cadeiras de rodas, pessoas com derrame, o chamado AVC, acidentes e outras coisas mais.” Conta Marcio. Desde a criação do Bloco, em 2015, os integrantes vêm arrecadando lacres para converter em cadeiras de rodas/higiênicas para doação à entidades filantrópicas, sendo a escolhida deste ano a Santa Maria Madalena, que possui um abrigo de idosos. No primeiro ano foram doadas quatro cadeiras, no segundo dez, no terceiro 14, ano passado foram doadas 21 e este ano serão 23.
Márcio esclarece que tanto o nome quanto a logomarca do Bloco foram dados por conta de uma cobra chamada Jurema, típica da região da Ilha de la Gonave, pertencente ao Haiti, onde serviu com os Fuzileiros Navais em missão de reconhecimento.
Este ano o Bloco conta com 1500 pessoas desfilando durante a terça-feira de Carnaval, às 20:00 horas em frente à prefeitura de Nova Friburgo, Rio de Janeiro. O tema do samba neste carnaval será mulheres guerreiras. Samba Bloco da Jurema – CARNAVAL 2020
